How "Empire Records" changed my life |

I have an older sibling who’s seven years older than me and she was a teen when MTV still had music videos, not the junk they have now LOL And that meant she took over the remote so we watched a lot of MTV and whatever was the ‘it’ movie at the time” She was into alternative music ( its now Modern rock )

Kind of off topic.. but …Empire records were one of those movies. We watched it A LOT. But of all the stuff this movie said or did .. it made me question some stuff

the line that made me go ” I’M NEVER GOING TO A FOUR YEAR COLLEGE ” WAS

Now let me explain that four-year college deal because I know you’re confused.

I knew early on that going to a four-year college was in many ways WAS going to really stop me from being an artist.

Now I know there are four-year art schools but I was kind of pushed into going to a junior college right after high school and by the fall of 2002 I was sick of school.
