The cost of running GabbieA.com

2014

This post will include affiliate links. Not many I promise on all the gummy bears and izzes in the world. lol

Most people freak out when they think about getting a website. There are so many domain and website hosting company’s out there its kind of makes people feel like it, they are a little kid at a candy store. (Starts looking at the gummy bears and smiles..looks over and says .. don’t mind me .. Funny I’m actually eating gummy bears as I type this. If it gets out of hand blame it on the sugar ) OK back to the post. I PROMISE !!!  Domain and web hosting isn’t rocket science. People make it seem like it is. But the hardest thing is picking a GOOD hosting company.

Do your homework. Look for domain hosting and look for a company with good reviews. Don’t pick a hosting company based on price. If you want  WordPress to find a hosting company that offers an install of it.  OK get ready. HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO RUN GABBIEa. I need to go back a few years. I’m ready, are you?

2002 – I spent about a year looking at www.dreamhost.com and decided it was time to officially get online soon 11/27/2002 . bought my first domain and the first months hosting. Grand total  $35  Each month  I paid $9.99 a month

2012 – I got the domain for GabbieA.com for about  $9.99 and that was added to my account. I now pay $11 a month for a total of four domains and hosting.

I then bought the Genesis framework which is $ 60. What it is it’s like the foundation of a house. You then buy themes for it. In this case for Gabbie. I used one of the free themes and customized the code to fit my needs. And did all of my graphics. I use all free plugins with good reviews.

Grand Total minus the first domain:  $70 or $11 a month.

So did you think I paid more or less ? Comment below!
